after a failed shopping attempt, my good friend, Raines, took me on an adventure to Hongdae. I was happy to be introduced to 2 amazing bakeries and the Best Coffee/coffee space I’ve found in Korea thus far!

This definitely made up for my mall experience earlier in the day.

Converted from an old shoe factory, Anthracite Coffee Roasters was not only the best tasting drip coffee I’ve had in Korea but also the most comfortable environment I’ve found. There was a mascot, Minami, roaming around and great music and art which rotates out frequently.

To get to the bakeries and to the amazing Anthracite coffee shop, take the brown or green line to Hapjeong and explore until your little heart’s content. I think eventually you’ll find it. Sorry not good with directions and the journey is so much part of the fun! Happy hunting!
